Want to help your horse grow a beautiful, thick tail? Look no further than our versatile rug-less Horse Tail Bag. These bags are designed specifically for tails, and come with removable liners that can be purchased separately or as part of a mane and tail bag set.

Our new and improved design features no inner seams for extra tail protection, and an all-in-one wraparound piece for easy use. We've even added an extra security tab for added peace of mind. Keep an eye out for updated pictures! Made with 210 denier showerproof ripstop cordura material, our horse tail bags are highly durable and user-friendly. Our bestseller, the WIDE Width Tail Bag, measures 16.5cm wide and fits most horse tails securely with its generous hook and loop fastenings. While our tail bags are known for staying in place when needed, they can also fall out during emergencies. Keep your horse's tail clean during wet and muddy times by adding a removable or sewn-in liner.

Our custom tail bags require a turnaround time of 2 to 10 days, depending on our current workload. During this time, I will keep you informed of the progress. Please consider this when placing your order, particularly if you are also ordering other items.

Note: Handmade items may have 1-2cm variances and slight imperfections.

1. Section a clean washed, conditioned and semi dry tail into three.

2. Starting from under the base of the dock, loosely plait down to begin with for a few plaits (so not so tight for horses comfort, and ability to thread over tab through) and increase tightness to the end of tail.

3. With preferred elastic band, secure end of plait tightly.

4. Place tail into bag until top of bag is in line with end of dock.

5. Thread back over tab hook and loop through the ’loose’ plait from the back as high and close to the dock and secure to front tab.

6. Close the small security tab over the front over tab.

7. Secure the wraparound hook and loop either over (for more security) or under the front tab trimming excess if needed.

TAIL CARE: For best results check and add detangler/smoothing serum etc and re-plait/bag or wash and condition tail and re-plait/bag every 2 to 3 weeks.

WASHING: Warm hand wash with mild detergent is preferable for the longevity of the water resistant coating of the material.

WARNING: This style of tail bag is NOT designed to be worn OVER the dock and the material can be noisy, so care needs to be taken with introducing these first to see how your horse reacts with wearing them.
