If you are wanting your horse to grow a long, thick and luxurious tail - you can't go past the versatility of our rug less horse tail bags. This is for tail bags ONLY - removable liners and or sewn in liners are an add-on or come FREE when you buy a Mane Bag Set at the same time.

PLEASE NOTE: Your Funky Feathers mane/tail bag product will be treated with a weatherproofing product after creation. This will add on approximately another 2 - 3 days of turnaround time.

Our Horse Tail Bag - Funky Feather Print Range features a unique design that utilizes high-quality, durable, and weatherproof materials. These bags are user-friendly and built to last, additionally, our bags can be further reinforced with protective strips at the bottom to prevent wear and tear (excluding the workhorse style). If you need a custom length, simply add a note during checkout.

As our horse tail bags are custom made to order, turnaround time can be from 2 to 10 days dependent on workload, though I will keep you updated with the progress during this time. So please be mindful and understanding of this when placing your order especially with other items.

Note: Handmade items may have 1-2cm variances and slight imperfections.

1. Section a clean washed, conditioned and semi dry tail into three.

2. Starting from under the base of the dock, loosely plait down to begin with for a few plaits (so not so tight for horses comfort, and ability to thread over tab through) and increase tightness to the end of tail.

3. With preferred elastic band, secure end of plait tightly.

4. Place tail into bag until top of bag is in line with end of dock.

5. Thread back over tab hook and loop through the ’loose’ plait from the back as high and close to the dock and secure to front tab.

6. Close the small security tab over the front over tab.

7. Secure the wraparound hook and loop either over (for more security) or under the front tab trimming excess if needed.

TAIL CARE: For best results check and add detangler/smoothing serum etc and re-plait/bag or wash and condition tail and re-plait/bag every 2 to 3 weeks.

WASHING: Warm hand wash with mild detergent is preferable for the longevity of the water resistant coating of the material.

WARNING: This style of tail bag is NOT designed to be worn OVER the dock and the material can be noisy, so care needs to be taken with introducing these first to see how your horse reacts with wearing them.
